How do I get my 14 yr old son to take better care of his facial acne?

I've given him all types of skin care products, including ProActiv, Neutrogena, Clearasil, as well as countless others. He doesn't seem motivated to want to use the products. He has admitted to being ';lazy'; about doing any nighttime cleansing routine. What can I do to help him be motivated to use the products? How do I get my 14 yr old son to take better care of his facial acne?
thats a tough one, its going to be really hard to get him to take better care of his skin if he's doesnt have the want to. I like the idea of suggesting him to wash his face in the shower, but he might not even do it then. I think that when he turns 15 or 16 he'll be much more interested in that and will want to look nice overall. until then i would try a face wash in the shower, not a whole system just one face wash. and if you see him take to that, get Mario Badescu drying lotion, its $17 and a tiny bottle but totally worth it. I dont even wash my face out side of the shower and that helps so much. you just dip a q tip to the bottom, into the pink cream (dont shake it) and dab it on the worst bumps. no joke this stuff is great! but dont waste $17 on it if he's not going to use it, but ask if he's interested because its so easy, you just dab it on before bed and wipe it off with a wash cloth in the morning, THATS IT. oh and its only sold in good beauty stores so you wont find this at a drugstore

and if he's not interested now, give him time...he'll come around very soonHow do I get my 14 yr old son to take better care of his facial acne?
Why does it matter? If it doesn't bother him I don't see the need to use these products. Pimples and acne are a part of every (including mine) teenagers life and we either choose to deal with it or try to get rid of them. Besides, he's the one that has to be seen with them.
Generally I would agree that if he lacks the motivation don't carry him along. But I lived with horrible acne for years and found the only thing that was 100% guaranteed to clear it up was a pill called Acutane. You need a prescription for it but its completely worth it. What's more it requires no drive to take a pill every day.
Introduce him to a really pretty girl. Works wonders.

You could also try and confiscate his game box, threaten him with a beating or show him gruseome pictures of acne-ridden faces.

Or you could get him him some mild anti-acne soap instead of what he uses now and tell him to wash his face with it under the shower. It's easier than following a routine, and not as harsh, either.
its his skin and if he doesn't appreciate it then u can't do anything sorry but im 15 and i know how important it is to look good so i get motivated by wat the girls think so once a girl that he likes turns him down cause of his acne then he'll get motivated
i dont know.... i mean if he DOESNT care... you CANT make him. no matter how much you want to or should....

mine please anybody?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Maybe you should take him to the dermatologist to get pills for his face. Thats what I have and its more easier to do.
Tell him the truth. Girls( or guys. which ever he likes) DO NOT like guys with acne!!!! If he wants to go on dates he will have to get rid of the acne.
when he gets a girl or gets interested in girls he will start.
well if he doesnt really care then dont make him.
when hes sleeping, lather that stuff on his face. :D
