Taking Care of Facial Hair?

Hows it going everybody Ive been growing my beard out for a while now and it looks good but I have one big problem its very dry. I shampoo it when I shower but it stil feels very dry and because of the dryness the hairs start to stick out allover the place. What should I do to give my beard a smoother texture and cleaner look.Taking Care of Facial Hair?
Do a once a week routine of putting mayonnaise or olive in oil in your beard for a little while then wash it out. The oils help to hydrate the hair. Don't do it too often though or it may clog your pores.

Be sureto brush the oils in with a comb. Also when you're in the shower don't leave your face under the running water for too long. All of the water will wash your hair oils aways and that makes it dry. It goes the same for the hair on your head.Taking Care of Facial Hair?
Buy a good quality hair conditioner - perhaps one you leave in for a few mins.

Do girls care if guys have facial hair?

I don't like actual beards or mustaches, but 1-2 days of stubble is very attractive!! The only problem is that when I kiss a guy with stubble, it kind of irritates my face, ouch! Facial hair is okay if you keep it very short and clean. =)Do girls care if guys have facial hair?
I ask my guy to stay nice and smooth. If he does he does. If not I'll still love him.Do girls care if guys have facial hair?
Depends whether the guy looks good with it or not!
Generally, I don't think girls care about facial hair as long as it's well groomed and an animal hasn't made a nest in it!
a little goatee is fine, but can rub a girls face a little raw during a hot makeout session. That's just a minor setback though and wouldn't stop me.
If it doesn't make you look like a hobo, I don't think most mind. Depends on the girl.

A little facial hair can also hide a weak chin or whatnot. Can make you look more mature or cool, since you don't see a lot of facial hair nowadays.

I wouldn't go for the long beard if you're under 40, though.
on i dont
It depends on the guy. Some look great, some don't.
Yes for when she kisses you. Personally it gross to me, but other girls it is attractive, it only atractive to me on this one boy.
I LOVED my husbands goat and 'stache. He was so sexy with it, but he felt older than he was (It came in grey) so he shaved it off...dammit.
I do. I love goatees! OY. DRIVES ME WILD!!!
Some girls do. Like myself. I personally HATE it.
My wife likes the way I look when I haven't shaved in a few days, but she'd rather I be clean shaven when she kisses me.
They are fine,,,and sometimes sexy..........as long as they dont hurt us. :)
some do, but usually, it doesn't matter.
Depends on the girl but i like a guy with a little bit of stubble.OMG sooooooo sexy
that scruffy patrick dempsey look is SOO hot but i dont like facial hair other than that
It depends sometimes. Some girls like it, some hate it some are just average, but dun worry about it. Some girls like guys with facial hair because it makes them look mature. Some girls hate it because when they kiss, it tickles and such
girls really dont care about the man having facial hair or not cause if they love him or only think that he is anice person it is only about whats inside( the beauty of the soul) but generally he has to be neat and clean with facial hair or without
i like facial hairs of guys...it resembles the manliness
some chicks really like it, some dont like it at all, I really like a patch under the lower lips i think its hot.
NO IN FACT I LOVE A MAN WITH HAIR ON THERE FACE I HATE A CLEAN FACED MAN
I love it if its trimmed and well groomed. My favorite is a stubble beard, just buy a beard trimmer and thin it out every few days on the lowest setting.

Has anyone used Carol's Daughter facial line skin care?

no but i hear they are really good...they are just really expensive...at least for me...but i plan on trying some...

Please help! I need any advice, or tips you have on facial skin care.?

I'm a 16 year old girl, and have skin problems. I get these huge, painful breakouts, and NOTHING helps. i have tried, proactive, clean and clear, neutrogina, velocity, clearasil, sea breeze astringent,etc...

some things work for about a week, them my skin becomes ammune to the cleanser. I work out on a regular basis, but always clean my face afterwards. I want clear, pretty skin that isn't covreed in zits. I can't wear most makeup, sunscreens, or moisturizers because i have really sensiive skin. i don't have a ton of money top spend on acne products, and nothig works anyway. How can i get clear skin at home? what foods should i eat? how much water should i drink? i heard washing your face with lemon juice helps? Any at-home things that work? Please help me! Any tips or tricks that have worked for you? Thankx much :)Please help! I need any advice, or tips you have on facial skin care.?
someone above me said dont go outside...it works a little....the sun kills the bacteria that is in pimples...sun is also loaded with vitamin D which is also good for your skin...go out for like 15 min in the sun without sunscreen....also i had bad acne and what i did is buy dove gentle exfoliator...its kinda like the wave but more sensitive and i used it everyday...and it made my skin clearer and softer...i also do an oatmeal scrub which is just plain oatmeal mixed with a little water to make a paste and then leave it on your face for 15 min....oatmeal helps extract the oils...also baking soda with water....um non fregranced lotion...simple soap and water....i heard rosewater works good on your face..... i have sensitive skin....and i use dove every day and clearasil vanishing cream every other night...i no you said it doesnt work but try it with the dove....and dont touch your face at all in the day even if your hands are clean.....and drink lots of water....8 cups.....eat any thing besides junk food and things with fats and sugars...long list hope you get better...maybe try seeing a dermatologist...but good luck i know how frustrating it is.....Please help! I need any advice, or tips you have on facial skin care.?
different foods won't give or prevent acne, but drinking more water sould help, maybe two bottle a day. lemon juice sounds like it would just dry up your skin--and drying up your skin will not get rid of acne, and could make it worse. See if you can go to a dermatologist and get a prescription. I take menocycline and though it takes a month or two for it to work, it has worked really well for me.

you might want to look at the active ingredients in the products you use? Are they all benzol peroxide or sacylic acid? Because one might work better for you than the other.

And if all else fails, getting tan can also help clear up acne, so go outside more--but still wear sunscreen.
maybe look for some useful info here. you can also sign up to get some tips through email.

hope i helped!
Go to wal mart and buy bio degratable soap it's foamy and it will clear away pimples and will clean pores in the department with the soap in the food section. Or try proactive.
First of all, never touch any of my skin problems with your hands. Never itch, scratch, or pick at them. It's normal for a lot of teens to have skin problems. However, there aren't any skin products or tricks that work. It's basically a heredity issue. So, the best thing to do is to ask your parents or a relative that has been through the same condition as you. Don't worry, they will go away soon. Try changing your towels that you use to wash your face. It would also help to eat less greasy/fat foods. Drink about 3 bottles of water a day.

Oh and another thing...someone above me said to go outside more....DO NOT DO THAT. It makes it worse...I'd know. Like, don't go tanning.

I have several questions regarding my facial skin care. dark spots?

Hi. Well I have several questions. 1st of all, my right cheek has several leftover residue (?) spots from pimples, and they just don't go away. Is there any product or something simple I can do about them? I'm 23 and I don't know if its normal to have this not go away... I see a lot of older guys having flawless skins.

I would like simple easy to do things ( no selling of strange products, but just something I can get over the counter or do at home easily)

and my second question is that I'm using Clean%26amp; Clear's line of Oxygenating products to take care of my skin, when I shower I use the 1) Exfoliator 2) the Cleanser 3) and then the moisturizer.

Are these products good and is this the right order? exfoliate-cleanse-mosturize?

Thank you sooo much for all your help! :)I have several questions regarding my facial skin care. dark spots?
The combination of Tea Tree Oil soap and the Clindamycin cream is the best for Acne and pimple.

For acne scars I lighten them up using papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too. Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'

I am a healthy 23 year old male and I struggle with moderate acne. My diet is healthy and I do exercise, but I have a good deal of stress (not severe stress) in my life. How good is my facial skin care routine?
i don t have a facial care routine but my skin is great...no acne , red spots , black points or stuff like that

but everyday before i put my makeup on ... i use sulphur soap ..i heard that it's very good for acneHow good is my facial skin care routine?
Mild to Moderate acne can be difficult to control. Even after blemishes disappear, you must continue to use an effective acne treatment to keep new blemishes from forming.
that is wonderfully great. except maybe moisturize at night

Proper skin care? Any help? I want to get a facial but I wonder if it is worth it? Any other procedures?

that may be worth it or in any order?

I am almost 30Proper skin care? Any help? I want to get a facial but I wonder if it is worth it? Any other procedures?
You can start by changing something use most likely use everyday.... SOAP!!

Try to use natural handmade glycerin soap over cheap commercial brands. I personally use Lifeworks handmade Soaps. Here is the reason why:

    Glycerin

One of the most important differences between handmade soap and commercial soap is Glycerin, a humectant, meaning it attracts and holds moisture to your skin. Glycerin is a natural by-product of the soap making process, and while commercial manufacturers remove the glycerin for use in their more profitable lotions and creams, Lifeworks handmade soap retains glycerin in each and every bar.

    Oils

While most commercial soaps do contain animal fats to keep production costs low, Lifeworks soaps do not. Our soap is made from high quality vegetable oils along with other exotic oil blends. We don't and never will use any animal by products in the makings of our soap. Not only for the love of animals, but also for the dignity of our customers skin. Who wants to bath themselves in lard?

    Chemicals

After the use of cheap animal fats, and extracting all the glycerin out, commercial soaps are forced to fill in the gaps with chemicals. Cleansers, detergents, stabilizers, and other harsh additives. Detergents are great for dishes and clothes, not for your skin. These chemicals and the lack of glycerin mean that the soap often irritates people's skin or causes allergic reactions.Proper skin care? Any help? I want to get a facial but I wonder if it is worth it? Any other procedures?
Facials do help clean skin, and if it is done by a good professional, you will have no regrets. It is worth it.

But to keep your skin looking beautiful, you have to take care of it using masks, face scrubs, toners and good moisturizers.

What's the best way to take care of your facial skin?

What's the best way to take care of your facial skin? When to wash, how often to wash, what products to use and not to use? I shower every morning and use normal soap for my face. If the weather (southern California) is extra dry I put lotion on my face, but most of the time I don't put anything on. Lotion alleviates the dryness, but seems to encourage pimples. No lotion and it becomes painfully dry. How do you get real good skin? (I am a 31 yo male)What's the best way to take care of your facial skin?
use the proactive skin care line, i use it a lot. i live in PA and it gets pretty dry there in the winter time, meaning humidity. the proactive line does not make me break out at all. hope i helpedWhat's the best way to take care of your facial skin?
Check your skin condition with dermatologist or pharmacist and they'll recommend you the best product but the best advice could be get from skin experts.

How should I take care of my facial skin?

    I'm a 15 year old male.

I get spots on my forehead due to having a fringe, but I push my hair back whenever I can to reduce grease build up.

I wash my face twice daily with ';Tea Tree Facial Wash'; and warm water.

My skin tone on my face is far paler than the rest of my body and it often gets dry and blotchy in cold or hot temperatures. I also have dark circles around my eyes (although I normally get 8 hours sleep or more), I believe it's due to my varying sleep patterns. I get stressed very easily especially with work, which may be a cause too?

I think I have very sensitive skin, and I do what I can for it, but with the Tea Tree option I stupidly chose the one that was not for sensitive skin (should I stop using this right away?).

I have the diet of a normal teenager, pretty much balanced with the exception of a few more unhealthy foods, but I try to avoid these whenever possible.

I think my weight is average, and I'm probably closer to underweight than over for my height and age.

Any advice for what cleaning products I should use, what to avoid, what I should be eating and drinking, and how my lifestyle is affecting it? Also, what can I use for the blotchiness and dark circles? I'm not an expert on all the facial products and I often get caught up in the huge amount there are available and what they're all actually for.

    Any advice is appreciated. (:

Thanks! How should I take care of my facial skin?
I don't know if you'd feel embarrassed but you should really go to a make-up counter that also does mens products (clinique do really good mens products) Obviously i'm not saying wear make-up! But these counters also do a lot of facial cleansers, washes and moisturisers. OR go to Lush! They do amazing facial stuff. My point is, you need a professional person to look at your song as people on here can only guessHow should I take care of my facial skin?
    a great part of having nice skin is washing it. 2 times a day(like ur doing) if u don't ur bound to get pimples. wash ur face, seriously :) since ur washing ur face already i don't know what to say :}
You should get like a mild face wash for just general cleaning because it doesn't sound like you have acne. I know it is kind of girly, but you could try a moisturizer from Cetaphil. It's good that you keep your hair off of your face to stop the excess oils. Try to develope normal sleeping habbits with at least 8 hours a night. Eat healthy and drink plenty of water. You should be good:)

If I get a facial at the salon, does I really take care of acne?

first of all it depends what kind of facial....some are ment for moisturized, others for oily skin, some for exfoliating and so on...but no matter what kind you get acne won't dissapear right away after your first facial...you have to keep having them done very often to see results and that plenty of money wasted considering there are all kinds of over the counter scrubs, cleansers, face masks, and medication which will treat acneIf I get a facial at the salon, does I really take care of acne?
If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

It will clean out the pores in your face for that day. But unless you plan on getting one everyday I'm afraid it won't work in the long run. Invest in Proactive. It really works.
If you find someone who knows what they are doing and asks you about your skin type prior to doing your facials, then they really can help alot. You need to tell your aesthetician all about your particular skin concerns first or else you may end up breaking out more than when you started. Otherwise, regular facials can really help improve the condition of your skin and help control even really bad acne.
lol, I'm really biting my tongue on this one.
its amazin for ur skin! so even if u think its not helping just by the looks. ur wrong. cuz it is helping in someway
    it depends.
a little but not as much as youd think for as much as they charge, best solution is nothing a bit of tooth paste here and there but acne is a part of life we all have it you just gotta get used to it. it eventually goes away and only returns for you period trust me youll be fine a little foundation for picture day and for the most part keep your face clean and try skipping out on the chocolate a bit i know its hard
i wouldn't recommend it. if you want to get rid of acne, i would buy some ACNE FREE solution. sure, it's expensive, but it does the job! you can find it in drug stores, or even Wal-mart. good luck!

You know there isn't anything wrong with a maintenance visit at a dermatologist. I believe in regular upkeep rather than waiting, like most people are finding out with sun damage, way too late. Good Luck.
Wash your hair with eggs and beer once a week. This is very good for your hair.

Well , you need to try to go to the cosmetics department and get the face creams. I use L'oreal Day cream and night cream. They also have a product called Transforming cream which makes your skin look smooth. The most expensive is not always the best.

I am a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and teen acne.

After 12 years in this profession I find that most of my patients who deal with acne or brekout problems DO NOT SEE RESULTS from commercial products sold at drung stores or the mall. They usually contain too much benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or sulfur which tends to OVER DRY the skin and cause itching or irritations.

Also, home remedies such as lemon juice or alcohol or toothpaste SHOULD NEVER BE USED because they cause small tears in the skin and leave the skin more susceptible to bacteria that causes pimples or acne.

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!

Your age plays a role! Do you always have breakouts?

However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.

Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.

However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.

Teenagers going through hormonal and growth changes are prone to acne.

If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.

The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

Here is my STRONG SUGGESTION for you. I refer all my students and patients to this website:

    www.aboutyourskincare.com

You need to consult with professionals and on this website YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS FOR FREE AND A SKIN EXPERT/PHYSICIAN WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. It would be a shame if you dont take advantage of this free service.

Lastly, they have incredible products for breakouts and they make them specifically for every kind of skin type. That means that if your breakouts are more severe than mine, than while we both will buy the same product yours will have stronger ingredients than mine will.

They have a mild glycolic acid cleanser that's great for your type of skin and also a DRYING LOTION ( I have 3 bottles) that you put directly on your breakouts and the next day it's gone. It's truely magic in a bottle.

A basic guideline for properly taking care of your skin is this ( now if you're a young girl you will need fewer products than this):

    Night time:

    1. Exfoliate the skin

    2. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    3. Mild Glycolic Acid Toner ( cleans off the excess debris and balances the PH level of the skin).

    4. Drying Lotion used only on breakouts

    5. Moisturizer

    Morning:

    1. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    2. Moisturizing cream

The above is a standard you may need to only use one or two products. Visit: www.aboutyourskincare.com

As I suggested and click on the ASK FOR FREE section send them an email and you will get free expert skin care advice.

    Good Luck to you,

    Michelle

    Cosmetic/facial care allergies?~?

If u were allergic to an acne cream, cosmetic etc.. Do u think it would irritate ur skin? or do u think its possible to create a more 'internal' allergy? such as Sneezing, a rash on the stomache, chills, burning eyes, and a very red dry throat, with mucus sometimes stuck in the throat? these r the symptoms i hav been experiencing, i jus don't know the cause! I sneeze often in the morning 2!

    Thoughtz?

    thx KELL :) Cosmetic/facial care allergies?~?
Wow! I have lots of thoughts on this one. A couple of things might be going on here. First, the sneezing in the morning just screams of dust mite allergy. When you are allergic to mites, you experience the symptoms at night and in the morning upon rising. The reason is that these little buggers are microscopic and they live in our beds, pillows, and bedding. They are easy to control...I'll give you a link that tells you all about them and a link that goes to these special covers you put on the bed to stop them

Second, chills are NOT an allergy symptom. If you are experiencing chills, you might have a fever. Fever is never a symptom of allergy. So, it could just be a coincidence that while this other stuff is going on you are catching a cold. A cold would explain the chills and the dry throat. A cold takes about 10 days to run its course.

Third as far as the base question regarding allergy to personal care products, many people are allergic to the formaldehyde, toulene, parabens, and benzene that is common in many of these products. The symptoms can be uriticaria (hives), swollen, itchy or red eyes and itching skin. The rash usually appears on the area to which the product was applied. Rash on stomach can be a symptom of food allergy, antibiotic allergy, or something like scarlet fever (which is nothing more than strep throat with a rash). Hmmm scarlet fever would explain the chills, rash, and throat symptoms. May want to get to doc for a throat culture. I am loading you up on links to read more on dust mites, dust mite covers, the dangers of formaldehyde in skin care products, Happy ReadingCosmetic/facial care allergies?~?
I think it'd most likely irritate your skin rather than internally irate you. But, everyone's different, maybe you are internally allergic to what you are using. It depends on the product to. I use Clean %26amp; Clear and Nuetrogena face creams and they are really awesome and don't irritate my skin at all, and I have such sensitive skin. Good luck.

    Facial Care For Dark Spots.....?

I'm a black male that would like to know the BEST facial creme for dark spots. I know what your thinking...how can a black guy have dark spots on his face when he's black. Well I'm caramel complexion and I want an even skin tone. You know how you have a pimple, screw with it, then it leaves a dark mark? That's what I have. A few dark marks. Thanks for your help with this. I was even thinking about having laser treatment, but would prefer not if there's a product out there.Facial Care For Dark Spots.....?
Aveeno Positively Ageless Rejuvenating Serum.Facial Care For Dark Spots.....?
lasers don't help with acne scars. microderm abrasion can but in darker skin it can actually scar it worse since blacks tend to produce more keloid in their skin which makes it prone to raised scars. some whites do as well. get a cleanser that exfoliates and use it 2x a week. since you are black i have to advise against fade creams as they will make the spot way lighter and more noticeable than before you used it. lemon juice applied with a qtip or cotton ball might help. also using a mild sunscreen on just the spots can help too as acne scars tend to get darker in the sun before the rest of the skin does.
Well, the doctor or dermatolegist has a bleaching cream im using to rid myself or freckels and so far so good. there fading away :) so try that

    Facial Care Basics?

I think along with eating a good diet comes keeping up appearances. Problem is I am a guy and have no idea how to take care of my face since no one taught me. Anyone ever see the beginning of American Psycho when he talks about what he does to his face? He uses a peel, eye cream etc...But whats some good starters? All I know is washing my face with the bar of soap in the shower, LOL.Facial Care Basics?
This is the easiest thing to do. Detox. Clean yourself from the inside out! All you do is drink tea in the morning and at night. You already have all the other good ideas with eating healthy.

Stay away from pork and shellfish and dairy and white bread.

All detoxes are NOT created equal. Only chose one that cleans out your blood system as well as the liver.

    www.holyteaclub.com/tealivingFacial Care Basics?
I'm pretty sure that washing your face with soap is a bad idea. I've been doing it for the past few months and it has changed my skin from being soft and normal to kind of wierd and prone to little annoying bumps. Simply giving your face a good scrub with pretty much plain water and maybe a little diluted soap will help wash the oil off your face and clean your pores.

Putting some moisturiser on your face works but not covering it completely. Only use moisturiser on places that need it like the bags under your eyes and maybe the cheek area that is prone to sunburn.

The people who have the best skin usually have the simplest grooming routine, so enjoy yourself and good luck!
i used to wash my face with soap and it worked well for a while but it made me realllllly white lol and it kinda dried my face. i dont recommend that you use pro activ or any of those because 1st of all its too much work and its annoying lol just get a face wash cleanser that you can use in the shower every day. i use called neutrogena acne wash its yellowish orange and its in a bottle where u push the pump thingy and it comes out. yea so wash your face regularly and try not to touch your face a lot. thats the basics.
basically all you need is cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen.

cleanser is an alternative to your bar of soap, which dries out your skin. try cetaphil, its cheap and good for regular skin like yours.

moisturiser helps soften your skin. you might be able to get one with sunscreen in it, too.

it is essential to wear sunscreen every day, no matter what whether, because sun damage is what makes you look old.

there are heaps of mens skincare ranges, so just experiment!

oh yeah, you don't need a peel, eye cream like in american psycho lol!

and good diet makes your skin lovely.

You are doing the steps in proper order, this should work great for you. Here is the web site:

    http://www.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stor鈥?/a>Facial care steps?
Typically, yes, you would (1) cleanse to remove any makeup or build-up; (2) wash to rinse away the cleanser; (3) exfoliate to scrub away dead skin; (4) and if you have a skin treatment, then do it here every 3-4 days, but not daily), (5) tone to clear pores or everything; and (6) moisturize.

I'm sure all that attention to your face will leave it glowing.
    1.Facial cleanser

    2. Exfoliant

    3. Toner

    4. Moisturizer

Don't exfoliate every day, try every other day. And toners can dry out some people's skin, depending on your skin type. If your skin seems dry, try toning just in the morning or night, not both.
Every morning when you wake up and at night when you go to sleep put on some toothpaste and it'll pop all your pimple and you will see the white stuff pop out of your pimples. The white stuff is called Puss. Not puss as in ***** but the u sound is short so its Puss(Puh-s-). Then keep doing thAT and your pimple problem is solved
heres what i do, and i have great skin lol

    1. cleanse

    2. exfoliate

    3. tone

    4. moisturize

but you should only exfoliate 2 days a week,

    hope this helps!
Here is what you should do-

    Morning and night wash skin

    exfoliate (twice a week)

    Tone

    Then moisturize

I am not a professional and don't know what type of category your skin falls in.

But what it does sound like to me from my experience is that you might be washing your face at night with something that dries your skin.

Do you use moisturizer after you wash your face at night?

Oils forming overnight is caused by dry skin.

When your skin is dry, the oils that come out will help your skin remain elastic .

ELASTICITY= degree to which your skin can

expand and contract to its original state= YOUTHFULNESS

The best way is start out with facial wash and lotion that are water-based/oil free. (not alchohol-based)

In other words, try using products that are for combination skin.

That way , if you are still oily as usual, you know you fall more into the category of oily skin.

But if your face gets more control of the oil, then stick to this type of products.

The lotion is necessary so that your face stays moist.

Sounds ironic, but like I said. Excessive oils are due to dryness.

I have tried a honey face mask but with oatmeal and lemon. Also, I use the honey (100% honey) as a cleanser in the morning while I shower and it is the best decision I made. I'm a very allergic person and the honey hasn't giving me any allergies.

I noticed that must of the face washes I use dry my skin too much and I have oily skin so I cannot imagine what it does on your dry skin! I recommend you use an oil free moisturizer in the morning and before going to bed. As a cleanser, I use Claremom Clean Milk and tonic lotion but these products are very expensive and only found in spas but im sure you can find something less expensive. Good Luck!

    EDIT:

Forgot to mention that the moisturizer will help to even the spotty areasFacial Care Help Please!!?
I've done a banana mask, with just banana. But honey is good for your skin, too. After rinsing, you could use witchazel to clean it all the way off; It won't dry your skin out like other astringents do.

Aloe vera and chamomile should help take away some of the redness, and 100% Natural Shea Butter will help with the dryness.

Here are some other masks and tips to try:

I won't recommend that you use honey on your skin if it's a little sensitive or even sensitive at all. Honey and sensitive skin don't mix well at all as it irritates the skin by causing it to itch.

Dryness doesn't only occur at the surface of the skin. The deep layers of living skin cells (the dermis) also dries out.

So a moisturizer alone will not work.

A moisturizer will only treat the surface layer. But your face can still feel tight and dry after.

Instead look for a deep moisturizing serum. This will be more appropriate.

A Serum is designed to penetrate deeply into the skin. Therefore it can supply moisture to both the surface and the dermis.

So instead of only using a moisturizer also consider a serum. In addition to a serum you may also need to exfoliate.

This will help towards extracting the dead layers of skin and will thicken the skin. When the skin thickens, this is a good thing as your skin will less likely be prone to premature aging.

I recommend that you use a deep moisturizing serum and exfoliate 3-4 times a week. Hope this helps, all the best.
i think that it might work on u. my neighbor tried it on and it worked

    good luck ^_^

What facial cleaning brand do you recomend for great skin care?

Mary Kay offeres a great TimeWise line that can be customised for your skin. The basic cleanser and moisturizer is offered in two formulas - one for normal/dry skin and one for combination/oily skin. There are also additional supplements that can be used to create a skin care line just for you. What facial cleaning brand do you recomend for great skin care?

Clinique is superior. Anything and everything from Clinique is the best. I started using after my pregnancy when my skin was going crazy. Now, I'm more comfortable with my skin then I have ever been. Best of Luck. Check out their site if you get the chance!
Clinique is incredible -- the whole system. Facial soap bar, toner, lotion. I adore it.
My favorite is Clinique. I also like Origins, but I haven't used it long term.
I love Mary k timewise facial cleanser
I really like clinique. I have combo skin, and its slightly sensitive, and the clinique three step system really works. It takes care of my oily t-zone without drying out my drier areas. Plus, it doesn;t burn or irritate

    Facial Care Question!?

For some strange reason, when I look at a mirror in a room lighted up by the sun, you can see marks on my face such as small pimples and few blackheads, but when I look at a mirror in a room lighted up by anything but the sun, my face seems very clear. it depends. I personally recommend arbonne products because all of their stuff is free of mineral oils, it is botanically based, and PH correct. They go through extensive 3rd party testing before they release their products onto the market. They have 2 skin care lines. INTELLIGENCE line is for regular skin care, which is what I would recommend to you as long as you aren't worried about aging or wrinkles right now. If you are experiencing the aging thing now, then I would step it up a notch to the Re9 anti-aging line. You can actually get 10% off a first purchase at

but you have to email allison first and request the offer. the email adress is allisonwestbrook@myarbonne.com

let me know how you like it.
Try one of the Aveeno soy based facial cleansers which are gentle followed by a glycolic based toner for the oily skin care blackheads.

Then use a rich antioxidant moisturizer with a vitamin C and vitamin A ingredient which will repair and protect your skin.

Once or twice a week try using a microdermabrasion scrub, then once a week give yourself a facial steam followed by a simple peel with some fruit acids in it.

This is a source for many different skin care routines: http://www.skincareresourcecenter.com/Sk鈥?/a>

The trick is to look at the products you are purchasing to make sure that they list the percentage of active ingredients. For example, a product with glycolic acid should have at least an 8% concentration to be effective!

    Help me with facial care!?

Ok... I got a skin care set for Christmas and have no idea what to do with it... It contains 1) foam facial wash, 2) facial moisturizer, 3) mineral peel, and 4) mud mask. In what order am I supposed to apply the products? Am I supposed to wet my face first or apply onto dry skin? The box contains no directions whatsoever. I guess we're supposed to know how to use this stuff already...

    Thanks!!Help me with facial care!?
1)apply the mud mask and keep it on till its dry.

2)use the foam facial wash and clean away with water later.

3)use the mineral peel.rinse face with water.

    4)apply the moisterizer.

this will make your skin softer and clean.if you have a steamer at home you could use that, too.but be sure that you don't have sensitive skin.

    enjoy!Help me with facial care!?
The first thing is take a warn towel and wet your face. Wash your face with the wash. Blot dry. Use small amount of moisterizer, if your face appears oily than you used too much. the mineral peel is more of a spa treatment and not to be used without washing first. However you cannot use the peel everyday. Try it once weekly until you have even skin tone and then you don't need it. The mud mask is going to remove all impurities or dirt build up. The mud helps get rid of environmental stuff like a day at the beach, debris from that day, smoke, etc. Use that after a wash about once a month. If you overuse mud your face can become very dry due to it penetrating deeply and deep cleansing. Use moisterizer as last thing you will always do. Good luck. Also, a great complexion can really make a ton of difference. I am 33 and everyone tells me I look about 25-27. I keep up with my face routine daily.
Always cleanse first. Always moisturise last. Do those two every day.

wet ur face and hands with warm water to open pores, squeeze a little of the facewash (you really only need a little squeeze) into your hand and massage into your face then rinse and splash with cod water to close pores. Pat (dont rub) your face dry with a towel and then massage the moisturiser into dry skin until its no longer visible and leave it.

The other two are intensive treatments and should only be used as needed and never more than once a week

It seems unusual that they dont have instructions but as a general rule you can assume the peel is to cleanse blocked pores and the mud is a moisturising mask. As there are no instructions id be wary of how long you leave each one on your face for.

When using the peel , steam first (cleanse your skin then sit with your face about 6 inches from a bowl of boiling water with a towel over your head, this opens the pores, then put on the peel and leave it until it goes from being a gel to like a sticky sheet that you can peel off. Peel off, rinse, splash with warm water and moisturise as usual.

If your skin is feeling dry do the cleansing then splash ur face with cold water to close pores and apply the mask. This is the tricky one with timing. Id say leave it on for about 10 minutes then wash with warm water. Dont leave it for so long if your wary and definitely wash it off if it starts to feel uncomfortable.

    hope that helped
Don't you hate it when girls give you girly gifts?

Wet your face first, then put a little foam facial wash on your hands. Then rub it on your face in a circular motion. Then rinse it off. Dry off your face. Then put a little dab of moisturizer in your hand and rub your hands together a little bit and apply it to your face.

Use the peel and mask once or twice a week, depending on how your skin reacts. Don't use them on both on the same day, though. Apply a little bit of the peel or mask after you cleanse and dry your skin. Wait 5-10 minutes, and rinse it off.

Or, throw all that junk away and use good old fashioned soap. A lot of times those extra products cause more harm than good. If they contain fragrances and any other irritants, you might be better off dumping them in the trash.
You wet your face and work up a good lather with your foaming face wash. Face wash tend to be acidic, so you should look into getting a toner which comes after cleansing to balance out the ph levels of your skin. After cleansing and toning then you moisturize. The mud mask can be used about once or twice a week preferably before bedtime. You should cleanse your skin, apply mask (leave on 10 to 15 minutes), rinse, tone and moisturize. The mineral peel you want to use once or twice a month, again you must first cleanse skin, apply peel, rinse, tone and moisturize, also before bedtime. Good luck!!

    About Neutrogena Facial Care Products...?

a friend told me that she got facial hair because of neutrogena products, did it happened to any of you ??About Neutrogena Facial Care Products...?
    ya they have good products

Having once been a small cosmetics specialty company, Neutrogena is now a successful corporation providing some of the world鈥檚 best hair and skin care products as well as the approval of many dermatologists.

With its headquarters based in Los Angeles, the Neutrogena Corporation was founded in 1930 by Emanuel Stolaroff and at the time was called Natone. Stolaroff used Natone to supply film industry salons and make-up artists with specialty cosmetics. It was not until the 1940's that Natone products were available to the general public.

Importing the patent soap Neutrogena from a European chemist, Stolaroff thought the soap was a valuable product Americas can benefit from. The soap was proven to not irritate the skin and allowing it to return it to its normal pH in almost the same time as if it were being washed with water.

By the early 1960s with Natone known for its signature product, the Neutrogena soap, the company officially became known as the Neutrogena Corporation.

    Cleaners and Moisturizers

Neutrogena gel and body wash provides gentle exfoliation. There are different cleansers for face and body cleansing dependant on individual skin types.

The original cleansing bar, made with glycerin and other high-quality ingredients, leaves an exceptionally clean-rinsing without pore-clogging residue. Also known for being hypo-allergenic, it is safe for all people of different skin types and leaves a fresh clean feeling.

Neutrogena also provides cleaners for sensitive skin. Incorporating chamomile and Vitamin E into their face wash, it helps eliminate irritation that other cleansers may produce. Those with oily skin can use a Neutrogena astringent to remove dead skin cells and eliminate shine.

Their body moisturizers incorporate a glycerin-rich ingredient. It absorbs into the skin, turning rough dry skin into smooth skin. These fast-absorbing moisturizers are also long-lasting so fewer applications are needed.

For protection from the sun, an SPF 30 sunscreen provides UVA/UVB protection against sun rays. The lightweight, non-greasy formula absorbs quickly and keeps skin hydrated all day protecting it at the same time.

You don鈥檛 have to go to a salon or dermatologist to get the best skin care treatment. For a reasonable price, Neutrogena offers a microdermabrasion kit so you can easily perform a professional facial in the convenience of your own home.

    For Acne

Break outs are not just for teenagers- they affect many adults as well. Neutrogena provides a line of acne fighting products to treat acne for a head to toe. Their acne system line of medicine provides cleaners and treatments for all types of acne problems helping reduce post acne marks and scars so that blemishes from old breakouts can鈥檛 be seen. Shower gels and body washes are also available in this Neutrogena line for those prone to body acne along with special lotions that won鈥檛 clog pores.

    For Wrinkles

If you are worried about those wrinkles that seem to appear from no where, Neutrogena鈥檚 age reversing products provide an innovative way to reduce the appearance of deep and defined facial lines. Containing the highly potent Micro-DA, a skin transforming formula, wrinkled skin can be transformed into smooth and radiant skin.

    Men鈥檚 Skincare

Gone are the days where talking care of your skin was something only women did. Men鈥檚 skin needs love too and Neutrogena provides skin care products for them. They were the first skin care company to come out with a line just for men. They offer products to treat razor bumps, acne along with body cleansers and moisturizers exclusively for men.

In addition to their skin care line Neutrogena also sells hair and cosmetic products which are sold internationally in department and drugstores.

Regardless of the kind of skin you have- whether you want to maintain it, hide the blemishes or get rid of the wrinkles- Neutrogena is sure to have what you are looking for.

    Man's facial care?

I'm a 27-year-old man. Days ago when I looked back into my old pictures and compared to my current ones, I suddenly realized that how old my face looked like. I wonder if there is any facial care product or procedure for MAN that can help me to recover, like getting it smooth, flashy...? BTW I'm a straight guy.Man's facial care?
I am almost 66 and my skin glows in the dark. After shaving each morning I use a moisturizing lotion. I re-apply it at night. I use Ponds, but I think any decent brand would work fine.

But I think the reason my skin looks so good it that I eat a LOT of raw green vegetables -- four cups -- in a salad dressed with olive oil every day, and I eat lots of fruits and berries and nuts.

I also exercise regularly, walking or playing tennis.

i have these little wrinkle on my fore head there like likes that go 4rm left to right (horizontal i think )

how can i get rid of them im only 15!!!Facial care ...wrinkles... ?
You could use some cream to make it appear smaller, but you could rub some ice on your face every morning to help prevent them.Facial care ...wrinkles... ?
If you are looking for home remedy to reduce wrinkles, try this.

Smear honey on your face and leave it for as long as possible (but 5-10mins a day will do). then rinse off with tepid water mixed with a teaspoon of cider vinegar - this has a neutral pH and will act as a toner.

And if you have some bucks, Lifecell anti wrinkle cream would be a good choice. You can have more information here.

    http://www.lifecellskinreviews.com/
Be gentle with your skin and it will go a long way in keeping it smooth and supple. Gently massage the face with glycerin-honey mixture. Dip a cotton pad in unbeaten egg white, and smooth it across wrinkles. Leave it on for an hour and remove it with a cotton dipped in ice-cold water. *half a cucumber

*1 Lemon- Squeeze out juices only

    *2 tbs Mayo

    Blend in a blender

This makes enough for a few weeks, just refrigerate after use!

I have the same problem because my skin is very different during different times of the year. But something I use that works great all the time is st. Ives invigorating scrub, its very harsh, but it exfoliates off all the dead skin, a good moisturizer is clean and clear, any of them. If you have bad dry skin, try eucrin, all though it is expensive it gets the job done.
I don't know about natural, but I use a cleanser and toner (made from boots) with teatree and witch hazel in it. I follow this by ';simple'; light moisturizer and it works and my skin is clear.

Also, I use boots exfoliating lotion once a week to remove dry and dead skin.

Best oil for facial care (sensitive skin)?

Nobody agrees :) Some say jojoba, some macadamia, some primrose oil, argan oil, etc. I'm allergic to coconut and shea butter. Which oil do you suggest? Thanx

PS) Is it true you can spoil your skin if you use oil as a moisturizer every day?Best oil for facial care (sensitive skin)?
Jojoba oil is supposed to be closest to your natural skin oils.

I personally use Olay for sensitive skin because it also has sunscreen in it.

http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/catalog/shop_p鈥?/a>Best oil for facial care (sensitive skin)?
I use this stuff called Soothing Sauce from Bath-a-holic. It is natural with botanical extracts and essential oils mixed with gentle carrier oils. It gets rid of rough red patches and it also helps razor burn (for men face, legs, bikini line etc.). No you cannot spoil your face by using oils every day. It was the original moisturizer. The only way you can hurt your skin is if you continually use something that is irritating it, no matter whether natural (shea butter or coconut) or chemical.

    check out www.bath-a-holic.com.
I cant use oil because I have very sensative skin, my pores clog easilly and I hate the feel of oil. I use a moisutrizer called Cetaphil. Its oil free and fragarant free, its used by people with allergies and eczema, my doctor recommended it and I will never go back to anything else.
I have never heard of oil being good for the skin 99% of people that have oily skin try to get rid of it and people that have dry skin use a moisturizer which is a lotion not oil. So i doubt oil would be any good for your skin.

(For filipinas too..) Laserlight in Facial Care Centre??

I've seen this advert at Candy Magazine. It's about this Laserlight thingie in Facial Care Centre that gets rid of underarm hair. Does anyone know how much that costs? And can anyone tell me all about it? Please? :D(For filipinas too..) Laserlight in Facial Care Centre??
Yeah, It's about $140 for your underarms and you have to do it several times for all the hair to go away. I did it and it hurt SO bad. They put the laser on the lowest level (12) and I could barely take that. It didn't really effect my underarm hair sisnce I did it on such a mild level. My friend did it and it was $140 for underarms, $150 for bikini line, and like $200 for her legs but she did it 6 times each so it added up. She also did it on the highest level so she rarely ever shaves. The pain was unbearable for me (I do well with pain usually) so I never went back. My friend loves it and she said it was worth it. Hope this helped, good luck!(For filipinas too..) Laserlight in Facial Care Centre??

    1) yes, its harmful. wait 6 weeks when trying a brand and if u don't like it go w/ something else.

    2) you can change the moisturizer that u use. just not all the time because ur skin has to get used to a certain type of moisturizer (6 weeks) in order to see results. if u keep on switiching moisturizers, cleansers, toners, etc...results will take longer because ur not sticking to the same product for long enough time.Facial care info. help?

    Avon.
olay has great moisturizing creams.. they dont clog your pores and there are lotions for every skin type

as for facial cleansers, i use clean and clear deep clean. it makes your face a little dry

    neutrogena has nice toners

i havent found one single brand name that can give me the results i want.. so i have to buy from different brand names..but they still work for me
i use st. ives apricot scrub facial cleanser every morning and nighttime and i use olay moisturizer afterwards and i use avon under eye treatment for black sags and if i get any blemishes i use clearasil spot treatment and it usually takes care of them overnight (but it dries skin out so use plenty of moisturizer)
olay is the absolute best i have used it for years like you i do not have bad skin. I use it at night and before i put my make up on, if it hasnt worked for anything else it has kept my skin healthy looking. Oh and I love tanning and the sun, and im 44 with very few wrinkles
There are a ton of risks with the chemicals in ProActiv, St Ives products, avon, and all those. If you want to know the risks, send me an email - the risks don't have to be disclosed on the labels like with tobacco, alcohol and pharmceuticals. Some of the risks include increased risk of skin cancer, birth defects and Reye's Syndrome (a lethal liver and brain disorder).

    Step 1. Rebuild Dry Skin

    Ingredients:

1/2 cup powdered oats (just powder in a blender or food processor)

    2 tablespoons honey

    1 squished gel-cap of vitamin E or about 10 vitamin E drops

1 teaspoon sunflower oil, or any other liquid oil such as olive oil

    optional:

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix the ingredients in a dish. Add enough water to make a paste. Warm your skin and open pores with warm compresses. Apply to skin and leave on for 10 minutes or more. Rinse. Rub a tiny bit of liquid vegetable oil on normally dry areas.

    .........................

    Step 2. Routine Exfoliation

    Ingredients:

    2 teaspoons oats

    1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon clear oil (for example: sunflower, olive, jojoba, hemp)

    Natural soap

Mix the ingredients together in a dish. Warm your skin and open pores with warm compresses. Use a natural soap to soap your skin. Pour the ingredients into your soapy hands and apply to your soapy face. Rub in gently, adding water to keep the mixture from drying out. The goal is to remove dead skin cells, not the living ones. Rinse. Finish with a couple of drops of clear oil applied to all normally dry areas on your skin. After 10-15 minutes, wipe off excess oil with a clean cotton cloth.

    .........................

Step 3. Keep Bacteria in Check

    Ingredients:

    7 1/2 oz witch hazel

2 tbsp sunflower or olive oil

    1 teaspoon honey

    10 drops Zinc

1 tsp. vanilla or other extract (or a couple of drops of your favorite essential oil)

    10 drops of vitamin E

Put ingredients into an 8 oz spray or pump bottle. Shake before use. Spray, or pump, on a clean cotton cloth and wipe face ! AVOID EYES !. This can be drying, so use it only a few times a day. Adjust the suggested amount of oil to suit your personal skin requirements. If you have oily skin, just cut the suggested amount of oil in half.

    .........................

    Step 4. Spot Control

    Ingredients:

    Baking soda

    Honey (preferred)

    Lemon juice

If you get a pesky pimple and can鈥檛 wait it out try this: After you wash your face at night, apply a bit of baking soda wet with water, honey (preferred) or lemon juice to the pimple in a tiny paste, enough to cover the pimple. Pop a little band-aid on top. In the morning, it should be a lot less noticeable or even gone. If it swelled up worse, wash your face then use an ice cube to reduce the swelling. Do the treatment at night until the pimple is gone, only one or two nights. Keep that area clean with witch hazel.

so does anyone recommend anything that actually gets your face clean and remove dirt/oil

that truely works?Recommend any facial care?
First of all if you over-wash your face your pores will secrete even more oil,get a gentle and hypo-allergenic cleansing bar preferably unscented such as Cetaphil or neutragena, use a little witch hazel to cleanse your skin during the day,and you can get hypo-allergenic facial powder(clear) or blotting papers to wipe off excess oil.Tea tree oil based products are very beneficial to oily skin, make sure you are eating a good diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables and avoid excess starches and fried fast or chemically preserved foods.Recommend any facial care?

AWESOME skin care products that control oil and acne. Definitly more expensive than clean and clear, but the results will definitly pay off.
If you are eating greasy or fatty foods and drinks, I would start to limit that and drink a lot more water and fruits and vegatables. The thing about your body is that when you put toxins in it, it releases those toxins through your skin. Like how people on drugs get bad skin. Food can be toxic to your body too and your bodies way of showing your that it is, is through your skin. So combine the face washing with those methods, especially the increase of water intake and I think it will help out a lot.
My sister used Proactive products and them seemed to have really worked...I think they are pricey though
avon do have a really good selection of skin care .try the web link,www.avonshop.co.uk
Noxema Clean %26amp; Clear products have done wonders for my son!!! He also drinks absolutely NO SODAS. He prefers nothing but filtered water and maybe an occasional iced or hot tea. Those sugar and fried fatty foods do no good!
