Am I doing the right nightly routine for my facial care??

I wash my oily face with Clinique bar soap first and then I use some cottonballs to clean my face with a facial cleanser (I think it has alcohol in it) and then finish it up with using pure honey to mask my face and leave it there for 30 mins and then I'll wash it off.

Am I doing it right?? Some people say that I'm just supposed to use the bar soap and the honey because the facial cleanser tights up my pores or something.

Is this the right routine or should it be bar soap and honey only? Replay ASAP please!!Am I doing the right nightly routine for my facial care??
hi,

I don't think u use the clinique soap the right way !

clinique 3 steps cleansing facial was design to work with the 3 product all together ,

the soap clean ur face deeply by destroying the natural protection film on ur skin, the lotion that MUST be sold with it helps to remove the little dirt left on the skin and the lotion , that also MUST be sold with it , is repairing a all new hydrolipidic film for your skin , after that , u need to use your moisturizer. do not use any alcohol based product to clean your face , especially oily skin type , because alcohol is very agressive with the skin , it makes the sebum glands being more active because they are wondering what is hapening so they produce more sebum, so ur skin gets more oily and u use more lotion etc etc ,this is a viscious circle. if you like clinique 3steps , u need to use it a a cure maybe one week per month . I suggest u to try a foaming cleanser , such as dr Brandt breakout or the poreless cleanser, with a gentle lotion to remove any hardcore left by the water.

then a moisturizing night cream.

Even if your skin is oily , it still needs to be moisturized so don't forget this side. What we want with oily skin ,is to regule the sebum level to a normal level by keeping your nice moisturization level. The honey is good , this is a high antioxidant and antiageing ingrediet , but it doen't regule the sebum on the skin. U can still use it as a mask once or twice a week by having an exfoliation before. I think you would need to use a balancing and cleansing mask to help ur skin being rebalanced.

I promise you that if you change the way u clean ur skin by using everything properly , that will have a big improvement!

Take care,

and good luckAm I doing the right nightly routine for my facial care??
I would really suggest not using any type of product with alcohol. It does nothing but extract your natural oils and makes your body produce twice the amount of oil you had, leading to break out.

I use Dove or Ivory soap, I was twice a day

Once in the morning, once at night.

If your worried about acne I would try seeing a derma. to get retin-a micro to dot on troubled areas
hi lyonn!

in principle you're doing right, depending o what age you are.

the facial cleanser is supposed to be adstringent for your pores, which is good. splashing cold water into your face after washing it with the bar soap will do too.

i personally think, that using this honey-mask every night is a little too much, especially if you have an oily skin.

try using some moisturizer (morning and evening) and use the honey-mask only once or twice a week.

longterm ';over-treating'; will do your skin no good.

best!

Your close. Leave the stuff with alcohol out! Also the soap is designed to be used with the other two products. Also use a good oil, alcohol and petroleum free moisturizer.

Here is my routine and the one I would suggest:

Daily:

I use the Papaya Foam Wash when showering. After drying off I apply Hydrating Creme Concentrate to moisturize.

Weekly:

I exfoliate once a week with a Papaya scrub.

What this does is the papaya enzymes will naturally dissolve oils, dirt and dead skin while help to balance your skins pH. The moisturizer is an all natural moisturizer and will help hydrate your skin to help prevent wrinkle. The exfoliant will further remove the dead skin to allow the new skin underneath to breath better and look more youthful and healthy.
